I'm not familiar with video games or computer games, but I do read books...
If anyone's read "Debt of Honor" by Tom Clancy, you might draw some parallels between the currency manipulation from the novel, and the current economic distress. (Not implying intentional disruption, but certainly the overall understanding of macro economics applies.)
