Default 3 people who can destroy america

Being an accounting major, and my best friend being a law major there have been some intellectual conversations about IF anarchy would occur WHO would be able to accomplish it. Every day you can listen to the ignorant people who say they will attack the government guns blazing and take it over.... the problem is these people dont have tanks, helicopters, jets, tactical weapons, or the man power to EVER accomplish that.

During a conversation with my law friend we came to the conclusion that the best way to take over a country like america would be to set up a long term plan including 3 main people. An Accountant, a Lawyer, and someone to go into politics, and act like the puppet for their respective parties. It would be scary to imagine how much power three people like this would have... an accountant would know how to embezzle, get away with it, and bring down the economy. A lawyer would know how to find loop holes, and make everything "legal", and a politian would be the person to head the whole operation, and convince the people....

I know its far out there...., but what do you think?

Um, how far along in college are you? Where do you go to college? You do realize that what you said would be "scary" is already happening in this country? President Bush would be the "political puppet", Henry Paulson (The secretary of the Treasury) would be the "accountant", and the US Supreme Court (Bush appointed people to the Supreme Court that shared his political views when he took office, "loading the deck" so to speak) would be the "attorney".

Well I realize a connection can be made but i think it would be much worse if it was 3 people that REALLY wanted to take over, and had the plan for a lifetime.... to believe all of this is what is happening right now its too much conspiracy theory to me.
Why does my college and how far into it matter? Will that change your view of me? It does appear to be a psychological question that i prefer not to answer to keep people open minded... i could be just starting, or in my bachelors, or in the masters studying for the cpa, my opinions would be no different.

Well the reason I ask is because these events are already taking place and if you payed attention to the news and had a firm grasp on our current economic situation, you'd realize it too.

Just to clarify, you don't "study" for the CPA... CPA stands for Certified Public Accountant. You can however study for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination after you obtain the proper state boards for where you plan to perform accounting services.

Don't be anal dude, you knew what he meant. My mother is a CPA and while obtaining it she always referred to it as studying for her CPA.

And C'mon, trying to discredit him because he's a college student? Maybe I should be as biased as you and say that you're ignorant because you're from California; and Californians are liberal hippies.

I'll name the names for you:

1) Barack Hussein Obama
2) Nancy Pelosi
3) Franklin Raines.

Any questions?

Keep an eye on the news 'cause it may well be happening while we speak. Three individuals could not overthrow the government it will take groups of individuals, powerful groups to accomplish it but it could well happen. Without (I hope) sounding like a conspiracy nut those groups today would be, International banking, Leftist political groups and/or the military. The forth group is the American public which is so appathetic that they might well just sit in their living rooms watching American Idol and let it all happen.

Well considering the CPA is a license id say that studying for it is a good idea? Pretty sure I know what I have to do since my major is accounting, and I am currently lined up to be hired by PWC if everything stays on track and i keep up my grades. You keep watching the news and all of the propaganda will eventually sway you one way or another depending on the source. Who decides what will be on the news? Other people decide what the public should and should not know. Also do you have to have a college degree to watch the news even? You are probably one of those people that believes everything they hear and doesnt apply basic logic to the situation at all.

I have a business degree from SDSU and I just graduated from USD School of Law with a Juris Doctor last Spring. I watch conservative and liberal news stations along with reading a variety of newspapers and publications. Sorry to say but I'm not a "Joe six-pack" all-American moron who believes everything my president says. You said the news is censored propaganda, I assume you're talking about all forms of news reporting. So just out of curiousity, where do you get your political, economic and current event information from?

I notice general similarities, and realize that the president is a figure head for their respective parties. I guess you could say I dont trust the government.... however, I am not fearful because I believe (and hope) that government officials have in mind what is best for the nation as a whole for now, and in the future. I just prefer to stay out of it as I dont see much hope in actually changing the government. I read a lot of writings from people like Noam Chomsky, and he appeals to what i believe.

Wake up man! The government does NOT have your best interests in mind when they are making decisions. They have the interests of whoever is lining their pockets and doing them campaign favors in mind. The government is broken in major ways and it's going to take a lot of pressure and effort on the part of the citizenry to fix it. That means doing a full changeout of Congress and revamping the bureacratic landfill in DC. It can be done though and it must be done. It's been said that a Democratic government of any kind only have a lifespan of about 200 years. We've surpassed that mark, but will not go much longer if things don't change. Instead of pessimism and apathy, we need drive and ambition to cause that change to happen or we will end up at the end of those highway to hell that we're on right now. Stand up and be counted for. Write to your representatives on a regular basis. Let them know how angry you are at how things are going. Keep track of what they are doing and tell them how you feel about their positions. Get involved with a PAC or grass roots group that shares your ideals. Don't just sit there and let it go to crap in front of you. Do something about it.

I dont believe the government is on a suicidal mission...which would be the case if they didnt have a "plan" for the people. Without the people there is no government.

They definitely have a plan for the people. That plan is to keep kicking us with one foot and reaching down with handouts just large enough to keep the lower class right where they are. They do NOT care about what's in your best interest. I assure you of that. If they did, we would NOT be in the situation we are in at the moment. The writing was on the wall about this market collapse as early as 4 years ago, yet nothing of consequence was done about it. Why on earth do you think they waited until just before election time to stop doing stuff to put off this collapse? So they can throw together a BS plan and hold it up screaming 'see, we saved the nation, now vote for me'
