Breitbart.tv » Obama Economic Advisor Limits ‘White Male Construction Workers’ From Economic Stimulus Benefit
There's a video clip from a January 7 House Ways and Means Committee meeting. I'll hold off on my comments until some other comments are made. However, here's a copy of the email I sent Sue Myrick. I swear she's going to have my number memorized by the end of February.
As always, feel free to copy and paste my email to your own Representatives if you feel that you agree with what I said.
Dear Rep. Myrick, I am writing again to you to relate my sense of sheer outrage and contempt for some comments that I heard expressed by Mr. Reich and Rep. Rangel during a Jan. 7, 2009 Ways and Means Committee meeting concerning infrastructure spending. Mr. Reich made a comment about making sure that jobs 'don't only go to highly skilled professionals and white male construction workers'. Ma'am, this is pure and simple racism. This can not and will not stand in our society and especially at the level in which this meeting was held. As bad as his comments were, they pale in comparison to those made by Rep. Rangel. While I'm not surprised that anything he says makes me mad, his comments in this particular meeting pure and simple outraged me. Rep. Rangel said 'the state legislatures want their fingerprints on everything that goes through'. This is clearly an example of Rep. Rangel trying to coerce State level governments to do what the Federal government desires. This is a matter of him trying to side step State's rights in order to further a Central government agenda. A mindset of this type only leads us further down the road to a Socialist type government structure and we are not and will not become a Socialist state.
