This is the United States of America. All the blood that was shed so these offended people can enjoy freedom in America.
If they get offended by an American flag....they can leave...

Residents we talked to who had been approached to take down their flags all told us the same thing: that management told them the flags could be offensive because they live in a diverse community.

Why did they come here if they are offended by the contry's flag? They might as well tell us to put our mustangs in the garage and never take them out again.

i find it hard to believe they can do that .. his personal vehicle isn't their property maybe if he hung it like out side of his apartment but not on his personal vehicle.. that's like saying u cant have a mustang because it upsets the Chevy guys(to a lesser extent of coarse) but in this world now adays y not sue hu? i hope that apartment complex loses all its tenants.. and goes under

A LIbertarian talk show host (Neal Boortz) has for years offered callers seeking to "explain" how the American flag offends them a first class ticket out of the country if they will renounce their citizenship and leave.
So far, no takers.
However, AS a Libertarian, I am BIG on property rights.
Presumably, the property owners of that apartment complex included suitable verbiage in their lease contract to cover this eventuality...
But I am betting a good lawyer could run an Abrams tank through it, no problem.
Some patriotic lawyer reading this would do us all (and himself, of course, he can make real money) representing the downtrodden American minority in their upcoming class action lawsuit against the owners of the apartments.
AND he can help break those leases, leaving the apartment owners to seek out those who also hold America and Americans in contempt to fill their rental units.
In fact, I would hope that BOTH goals could be combined (more efficient that way, you know).
Frankly, my patience for this nonsense is getting pretty strained...

I hope that all the tenets decide to leave. The family that has soliders deployed should leave today. they can stay at my house if they need a place until they find a better place.
To think, THIS is what I'm fight for makes me Sick. That is why many of the Soliders coming back are leaving the military.
This mindset is the same mindset that gave us a Nobel peace Prize Winner as a President. Even though he hasn't done anything yet. He intends to do something, but hasn't set the wheels on the ground to this point.
It's the same thing really. Someone MIGHT get offended so we're going to make you take your flags down to prevent it.
These are also the kids from our youth who cried to the teacher everytime they were chosen last for kickball or couldn't break through that danged old 'break through' line no matter how hard they tried. They just never got the point that there are some things in life you just have to get over and move on with life.
I will now toss these jokers in the same lot as the Saudis who are crying about getting financial help from the world as we move away from petroleum as a major source of energy. They too can suck it and move on with life.
Let's not even get going on how this is an infringement of the First Amendment and the very precepts of the Constitution. I'd raise more flags and absolutely dare them to try and evict me.

Glad the problem has been resolved, but there never was a problem to begin with if you ask me. Ok so a few people may not have liked the flag....oh well. Deal with it, it's time people quit worrying about hurting the feelings of those that don't even matter anyway and do what's right. Keep those flags flying high!
Just out of curiosity, what would the reaction here be if the ban were on flying any kind of flag or penant from an apartment window, not just American flags? That to me would seem like less of problem, although the media would likely still have made an issue out of it because the ban would have included American flags.
