Of course they claim “victory” against the Airline and call it a Civil Rights Victory…… it of course isn’t anything of the sort. We all know that many cases are settled out of court and money given to those who bring suit simply because it costs the defendant LESS to do that than to pay for the trial and WIN. They take it as a lose lose situation, and don’t think about the moral loss they took in the process.

The courts have become the Lottery for many people. Find someone with a deep pocket and sue them. It does not matter who is right, but who has the money and how they can get away paying less of it. I think if they started charging the LOSER with all the bills (court time, lawyer fees, etc.) you would see the vast majority of these things go away.

As for the two situations posted, oh yeah, it gets my blood boiling. Where on earth has “justice” gone? And in the case of the first story, we have all lost. Thank goodness I don’t fly, and would choose to drive no matter how far, if I had the option. Unfortunately not everyone would, or can. I feel the Airlines settling out of court was a mistake on so many levels, and we will all pay for it.

As for the second story… She should go to jail. Period.

With any luck, if there is any truth to the idea of karma, the next time the "Flying Imams" (sounds like a circus act) are back home and catch a flight on Air al Qaida going somewhere, one of their fellow passengers will have a costume malfunction and explode.

I would agree with that, except that it would probably take innocents with them. I will then say that I hope Karma pays them back in much worse ways, but ones that don't affect the innocent.

Well ain't that just peachy. These clowns carry on with actions just short of starting a riot and get paid for it. Priceless. Makes me want to go jump on an Air France plane and start telling jokes poking fun of French people and trying to open their cockpit doors.
