Well the article showed that even after those salaries the hall still produced a surplus. It seems to be outrageous but if the money is there there's no reason why it shouldn't be spread through all workers of the hall who make the shows happen. The most surprising thing is that the performers don't get together and say they won't play until the money is shared more evenly. It's the same thing Professional Athletes do. Every sunday 80,000 people pay $50-$100 apiece admission, then pay another $50-$300 concessions to see players. They're able to use that leverage to negotiate better contracts. The performers should be doing the same.
