Those of us who lived through the 70's as an adult will remember President Nixon. He went from winning one of the largest election landslides in history, as one of the most popular Presidents, to being asked to resign from office by his own party.

One thing he tried to do when his actions and leadership were called into question, was claim that he and his staff were above the normal oversight set forth in the Constitution - that he had an Executive Privilege that prevented any questioning of his people.

Difference then was that the individuals that Congress sought to question - and who they ultimately DID question, and many of whom ended up in jail - were NOT royalty.

They were not czars.

LOL, and Tricky Dick was no Messiah, either, popular or not.

Heck, just look at how he tried to spin the words of his staff on the Fox News issue. When I heard him talking I almost fell out of my chair. I believe he actually thinks that TRUTH does not matter. What matters is what he wants people to think at the moment he is speaking. Of course if that later becomes a problem, he just says it was never said, or that it REALLY meant was something else.

Holy Cow...... and I sure hope he gets called on this crap more and more.

99% of the democratic party can fairly be called the party of hypocracy. from obama dragging jack ryan's minor son into his mudslinging campaign to win the illinois senate seat to the democrats changing election laws so that someone can be illegally appointed to teddy boy kennedys seat to all the other examples too numerious to put in a quick post, the democrats are the people of do as i say and not as i do.
