I thought it very odd when I heard this, after all they arrange marriages at 13 years of age……..but I see he also murdered a couple of people, maybe they is why they did it. Oh well, I still think in this case they were 100% right.

Yeah, but I guess the difference is that those marriages are between one man and one woman...er, girl. This guy molested a boy (which I would say is a serious no-no in Saudi Arabia.) Besides, I guess that they figure having sex with a pubescent teen to whom you are married is okay - sex out of wedlock is not.

Whatever the case, that Amnesty International guy just needs to STFU.

well, most of the people in Saudi came from Bedouin Tribes areas, very harsh people.

i understand sometimes the government have to do such things for 2 reasons.

* any one see such cruel punishment will think twice before doing anything bad.and i can see its working, they have very few murders crimes

* the tribe of the victims will seek for revenge from the killer tribe and once this start will never end.

regarding 13 years girls getting marriage, till now i never heard about this, it may happened in remote areas, but most of the girls here getting marred after 18 or 21 if they went to college.

thats all i know....
