yes, it IS that simple
I wish I could agree. Unfortunately that is not always the case. But I do wish it was.
Most of the time what makes political threads go away is a forum making a “No Political Threads” rule and enforcing it. And every forum I have seen do this has benefited GREATLY and the overall atmosphere improved.
Hint hint Admin.

Reason: split post
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-HAH! I must have read through at least a dozen of these political threads. As with any argument.....nobody wins.Very childish in nature. All you do is look like an a$$

I’ll cast my vote, if you don’t want them don’t click on them. As stated before if you don’t like them don’t read of participate in them and they will go away quicker.

- Shaken....Not Stirred 2003 Mach I Auto Torch Red - Sold
-1988 Ford Mustang GT Convertible, 331 Trick Flow Stroker with a Tremec 3550....oh yea and a 1.6 liter V-TECH motor to work the convertible top.
- 1966 Inline 6……..the pile of parts car!
im with shartley on the no politics thread rule......thats 2 votes admins. how many do we need? we oculd start a petittion if youd like.....
Then why have an open forum? If you, joe schmoe, or I don't like a thread, don't click it or don't respond. There are many threads that I have no interest in or don't wish to read so I don't click on it or respond.
but 95gt, this isnt just one of those "dont like it, dont click it" kind of things....its not that easy....every other thread gets drowned out to the bottom or onto the next page because 2 or 3 people yell and scream at each other in these threads ALL day, and its getting ridiculous. Just today ive seen 3 new threads talking about crap that has no place here in a mustangs forum. and they are gonna go back and forth all day until their blue in the face, then theyre gonna go to sleep, and start all over. Ive been watching it for a month now. . oh and by the way none of these threads are political anymore, they are just insults thrown back and forth, which is even more reason to ban them.
and ive also been careful to notice other threads that ARENT political
they dont last very long at the top, which doesnt even give anyone a chance to see them. they just open the forum, and see political extremists (from both sides) yelling, they assume nothing has changed since yesterday (which it hasnt) and then they leave.
this politcal crap either needs its own forum or it needs to be banned, because its just stupid.

I don't think you're going to stop KC's Propaganda. He's already said that is his goal.
: To spread Democratic Propaganda.
It's too bad because I do enjoy a political discussion as all of you know. But I can't control a person who will not listen to reason. None of us can , and I think we have all tried on a number of occasions.
It's one thing to be fervent in your beliefs, quite another when those beliefs are biased, inaccurate and the intensions are not sincere.
All I can say about this now is that AFM should approach this with fairness to him and the rest of the
"political junkies" and give us some guidelines from which to work with or revoke our privilege altogether.

I think an easy and quick solution would be to put a special “Political Discussions Section” on the forum. Then you can keep all of these threads THERE.
Simply saying “If you don’t want to read it, don’t click on it” is not good enough when these threads are being scattered in the general area. While if they had their own section, you simply don’t go to that section. It is much different than coming here to see the latest conversations on general issues and being assaulted with thread after thread of political feces.
I also must point out that there is a big difference between having a political discussion and simply wanting to post political propaganda, cause problems, and fling mud. The reason BEHIND the posts are as important as the posts themselves, if not more so.
And from what I have seen, the person who posts the vast majority of the political threads here is not after any rational discussions, but only to cause problems. Anyone who has children knows that “ignore it and it will go away” is not always the best answer to a problem, sometimes you have to step in and say “enough is enough, now knock it off”.
Why should the majority of the forum simply have to turn a blind eye to continual attempts to upset other members by one or two of its membership? Even more so when two solutions are very easy to implement…. Form a “Political Discussions Section” or make a rule banning any such discussions all together.
Again, this would not even be a problem if indeed the reason for posting political stuff was to actually discuss issues…. but it is clear that this is NOT the reason they are being posted.

i wanna say stuff as smart sounding as shartley, but it just never comes out that way.... anyways, i agree with him. :thumbup
It's sorta like "you think, but nothing happens."
hehehehehehe
But hey, Noob, AT LEAST you can identify rational thinking. And that's a start.
Somebody your age would have to be a prophet in order to have that kind of wizdom now.
