Hey, PC, how long do you think this thread will last? These GW (global warming) threads seem to self-destruct almost as fast as the illegal immigrant types.

Also, how is your "Algore Memorial Ethanol Victory Garden" (aka, sugar beet crop) doing?

Just an aside...

Bush has swung over onto the global warming dark side. Glorious times ahead. I'm amazed its really not covered much with the Presidential debates.

Global warming is probably just their excuse to kill a bunch of us (non mega rich, non ivy league, useless eaters) off.
If you believe the conspiracy theorists, there are already fema/concentration camps ready and waiting. They have railroad tracks leading to them. Also, a bunch of railroad cars have been manufactured complete with restraints.
Sounds like a page out of hitler's book...

You got that right about the thread, more and more articles are coming out about global warming, some survey says 70+ percent believe it is a natural earth cycle. I had almost given up hope on my fellow carbon units being brainwashed by the goracle.
The Global warming victory garden is doing well with the help of the man made irrigation supplied. The sugar beets are happy, although I don't think a 25ft row will supply me with enough ethanol to become energy dependent this year, but then again my Mustang would not be too pleased with it anyway. I wonder how many carbon credits I can get from that amount of sugar beets. I also picked some broccoli yesterday which is quite tasty. Finally got a good rain yesterday, after about 2 weeks without, the grass is about burnt out. Other than the ocassional beheadings of rabbits by my cats, I am happy to say that I have not run over any more bunny condos.

Global warming, the biggest hoax of our lifetime. Brought to you by anti capitalism. I don't think Bush is on the global warming bandwagon as much as many think. Remember, we didn't sign on with the ridiculous Kyoto scam.

I thought global warming had something to do with Elvis? Or did Elvis fly the plane into the Pentagon? Maybe I'm off base here

I guess we (Man) were responsible for the Ice Age too. So I guess we're just trying to fix our first 'crisis' we made. I don't seem to recall the dinosaurs getting blamed for the first warm cycle this planet experienced. All that dino dung you know.

Always the side step to the issues... what about the one united global government? It will be the next chapter in the book of life. that is being written for you.

The sheep are passive indeed!

Perhaps the greatest conspiracy is to distract us from the truth, so that we will lose money and property to the powerful conspirators, who corruptly monopolize wealth, and power, Too gain more power as a result.

True Conspiracies, the Illuminati and One World Government

So, when did your cats convert to Islam? And extremist Islam at that!

Do they wear little burkhas and videotape their victims?

Do the left wing rabbits defend them, and call them "agrarian reformers"?

I bet you weren't even aware of this worldwide cat conspiracy - and the fact that they are defending the Algore Memorial Ethanol Victory Garden almost boggles the mind! Its an alliance made in Hades (or Detroit, depending on the UAW contract)!

Haha, good kitties! Yesterday, I was out working on my car, and I heard a ruckus in the brush, and looked over in time to see my neighbor's cat emerge with a bird.

Default Compressed Air Motors

The French have a new design:

www.theaircar.com

Though to make it truly "zero polluting" they must use lots of fat French ladies sitting on whoopie cushions to fill the tanks.

Just as with an electric car, you're moving the pollution from a lot of little sources (individual cars) to a really big central source (in our case, probably a fossil-fueled power plant).

Even walking isn't "zero pollution" in an age when we're being told that carbon dioxide (which we exhale) is a pollutant.

One foreward speed, and five reverse... Oh wait, that's their tank...

MDI (the French company) doesn't actually, well, MAKE cars - they license their designs (including their super secret compressed air engine design). Unfortunately, most of the good details are ALSO secret, so such items as would back up any claims to power levels, mileage or range are impossible to evaluate. Of course, they answer with incomplete 8th grade physics lectures and assurances that "mileage is not a problem - you get whatever mileage you want depending on how you build the tank or how much pressure you add".

Darn that's convenient - for them. Imagine you were looking to buy a Hummer, and the salesman answered the same question about that beast in the same way.

"Mileage? No problem. You can get whatever mileage you need depending on how big a tank you have installed... Sorry, we don't have actual mileage or range numbers - but they really aren't a problem. Trust us."

They also claim to have figured out a (mostly top secret) way to get around the problem of working with highly compressed air - ie, it gets hot as it compresses, thus presenting a higher and higher energy requirement for addition compression as the heat expands the air. This would usually mean that as the amount of air compressed into a tank increases, the heat starts to exact a large penalty for any additional air pushed into the tank, but MDI insists that its "not a problem" for them. They have also come up with (top secret) tank designs that allow tiny cars only about 2 meters long to carry sufficient compressed air to have a high level of performance AND a long range, PLUS 3 passengers and a good sized storage boot!

Of course, the only country I'm aware of where they are going to be building these things is India, which coincidentally has none of the inconvenient auto safety laws that we have around here.

Darn. It think these air cars would make cool golf carts, if nothing else.
