She has integrity, judgement, and common sense. I would suspect she is also patriotic and proud to be an American...
So obviously NOW is no longer compatible with her in any way!
This is the same sort of thing being discovered by moderate Democrats every day - that while their moral compass and ethical base has not wavered, their party now has no place for them - and in fact has drifted so far away from them that they are now very much abandoned!
"A National Party No More" is an interesting read for those who remember the days when the Democrats bragged about being the "inclusive party".

3 young (ages 9 - 11) Christian girls were found, their heads lopped off with a machete, and the local imams immediately starting claiming credit.
The local Christian school had been targeted with death threats for quite a while, and now the threats and warnings had come true!

For some reason, the local authorities failed to see the righteous nature of the executions of the 3 Christian whores (for that is what all women who go about un-covered and wearing western clothing are, you know). Three local men (all connected to Al Qaeda) were recently arrested, and went before a judge.
Despite strident support from the imams, they were found guilty, and sentenced to 10 years, 14 years and (for the vocal leader) 19 years in prison. They are unlikely to serve the entire sentence (clemency for such cases is common - the last such case saw the holy warrior serve less than 3 years of his sentence).
The local papers are aghast at the flouting of culture and custom.
I mean, it was only 3 Christian females! Hardly more of a crime than preparing 3 goats for dinner!
We talk about "hate crimes" in this country...
We have no idea.

Hanging of the young man for fictional misbehavior when he was 13 years old (read the part about using this to intimidate his family because of their political positions).
This is at least as evil as just killing to match some ****-eyed 6th century rule in a book. This uses the Quran to cover some particularly nasty political maneuvers...
It would appear that her own father strangled the girl for wearing western style clothing.
I class this right alongside the story about the Saudi Sharia Police pushing young girls back into a burning building because they were not properly covered.
They all died.
I have a very agnostic view of religion, so my own vision of hell is a bit blurry...
But I really hope there is a special hot spot waiting for these guys who do this sort of thing in the name of their supreme being.

I read today that the blast in Pakistan was a kidnapped baby that they put a bomb in it's clothes and they held the baby up so Bhutto would take it....sick.

Here they do it a bit differently. Dumping women in the street and THEN machinegunning them... Stoning with only a small group of men vs one woman, so they use really BIG rocks to crush their skulls...
I read this, and then watch the likes of NOW, Boxer, Pelossi and Rosie, and I am in awe of their selective insensitivity.

Hi again. This is just plain horrible. I've never been a member of NOW, but any organization that is even trying to maintain a pretext of looking out for my best interests would be screaming from the rooftops about this stuff. Smashing peoples skulls with big rocks? A man strangling his own daughter? Beheading small children? And all of this makes perfect sense to the perpetrators? In the 'flying iman' article, it should be noted that the author of that is a sunni, and the people performing these barbaric acts are, without exception shi'ites. This would go a long way towards explaining why the sunnis and the shi'ites have been fighting since day one. This is a very important distinction to bear in mind if this barbaric sort thing is to be erradicated without becoming exactly the same sort of barbarians ourselves, with the exception of being better armed and better at it. I do not understand how a man could take all of the information available to him, think it through, and come up with 'strangle my own daughter' or 'let's just go ahead and chop this 7 year old's head off' as the best way to proceed. How in the world could anyone be that dead inside and still be walking around? I do not see how the Bushes and the Clintons turn a blind eye to this stuff and keep being all chummy with that s*ithead of a caliph in saudi arabia, the bin ladens, or any others like that. Nobody could be that blatantly corrupt. If someone could explain this to me I sure would appreciate it, because it simply defies reason and everything human to have this sort of stuff even happening in the first place, or to have our leaders be seemingly ok with all of that. I don't get it.
Sorry, Veronica, but about half the atrocities are being performed by Sunnis. The Saudi events (which include some of the worst, including the first item listed) are by Sunni muslims. In fact, MOST of the links I have supplied are to Sunni episodes. The last few are Shiite, particularly the final one in Iraq.
The events in Indonesia are by Sunnis.
Other than that, I cannot agree more.
We should be putting pressure upon these governments over these Human Rights violations (which are real - frankly, the countries where they are offical policy or part of Sharia Islaamic Law take no pains to hide them).
It is my hope that we can at least birng to heel the portion of the American political landscape dedicated to political correctness regarding these activities (and this isnot limited to the liberal left by any means - it INCLUDES a number of ranking Republicans, right up to the Oval Office, in my opinion). There is a long and sordid history here.

Hi again. I stand corrected then. I have obviously been fed some bad information. This is, however, still beyond belief to me how this kind of stuff can be going on in the world today. I mean, the law of moses calls for stoning people for some pretty minor infractions also, but I can't remember the last time I heard of a bunch of hasidic jews stoning anyone. They have obviously figured out a way around that sort of thing and have come to accept that it is possible that folks didn't really have the perfect insight into the minds of the gods and the universe around them back in the iron age. How can an entire culture be so brutal? I just feel like I must be missing something.
