 1997 cobra idle problem
hey guys....I am new to the site and was wondering if anyone could help me out with an idle problem that just began. I recently just took my cold air filter assembly off because i was having a throttle response problem. I was unable to have any luck with that, but to make things worse...the car now idles at 2000 rpm! I am currently trying to reset the idle, but i doubt that i will have any luck. My dad has been a mechanic all his life and I asked him, he seems to think that it may be a coolant temp sensor, or a vaccum leak or, maybe the throttle position sensor. At worse I guess I will have to take it to Ford and pay out who knows how much, but any suggestions that may be helpful for me to try would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |
