Talking Just got my first car,1987 Mustang
Just registered and I've already done my share of reading. You guys deffinantly have some good info on here. Well I just got my first car last week and I thought I might show everybody. Every child in my family gets a car for graduation and I told my dad I wanted a manual foxbody. Well to my luck, he got me a mustang. My dad picked it up for $1000 and put another $800 into. It was sitting for a while so a few things needed to be taken care of. He replaced the shocks, struts, heator core, timing belt, headlights, exhaust, horn, fixed the AC, fixed the brakes, balanced the wheels, and replaced all the fluids. Well I didn't get a manual, or a 5.0 liter, but I'm am EXTREMELY excited about getting my mustang! I still can't believe its mine!!

Ok enough with the story and more about the car.. Its and 87 notchback with 58K original miles. Its only a 4cyl auto but that will soon change. I'll been in the 5.0 liter forums sooner or later.

Thanks guys! I haven't even driven the car yet ad I'm already planning to spend thousands on it. I'm sure many of you on here feel the same way I should have it registered by the end of the week.

That pic was taken after we compounded and buffed the car. The paint was really fadded out and so was the interior cloth since it was sitting in the sun for such a long time. The top of the back seats look kinda white actually. Is their a dye or something I could use to bring back the color? I've been looking into racing seats but since its only a 4 cyl I don't think I'm gonna need them if you know what I mean.. I also want to get new rear end gears for it. I was thinking 3:55's? I still want good top end so I think that would be a safe bet. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Yea those pics were after compounding and a mutch needed buffing. I'll have better pics up once I get the car registered.
