 New guy from California driving 2008 Mustang V6 Premium Coupe
Hi, I have a 2008 Mustang V6 Premium Coupe with the Pony Package. Color is Torch Red with Black Stripes and Black interior. I love my new Mustang, I had been looking at GT's and had test driven one but given that most of my driving is a 30 mile each way commute, I needed the gas mileage and went with the V6 instead. I am really suprised at how much I love the way this car performs & handles without a V8. I do wish that it had more of an aggressive exhaust rumble, similar to the GT though. I am seriously thinking of swapping out the Muffler for a Ford Racing GT unit etc.. sometime soon. Not sure if I want to go the full dual exhaust route, although that would sure give me the sound and performance I would like. Also, I am thinking of converting to a K & N drop-in filter to help it breath better. The Ford Racing exhaust/cold air intake kit requires re-tuning and has me moving up to 91 octane gas. I would prefer to stay with 87 if I can. Looking forward to all of the information and opportunities that this group can offer. Thanks again! Marv |
