whats up all my name is tom but all my friends call me big t i just got a 1988 5.0 rag but i am having the worst front back fire can someone help with some ideas

is it backfiring under accel or decel? is your compression good on all cyl`s? On accel could be a plug, wire or dist. cap, unless no compression it could be intake valve. On decel it could be as simple as an exhaust leak.
