1990 Mustang LX I'm John. I live , in Southern New Jersey, in a suburb of Philadelphia called Maple Shade. I have a 1990 LX with a very mildly modified 302. I bought the car as an unfinished project that was traded in at a Harley Davidson dealership where I was employed as a technician. The car was traded before I got there so its mods are a bit of a mystery to me! I know for a fact that it has a cold air kit Ford Racing headers and 3:73 gears. When I bought the car the exhaust ended at a pair of flowmasters. I had the rest of the exhaust installed a few weeks ago. I am fairly sure it has a new T-5 and clutch (VERY clean compared to everything else. I've had LOTS of Ford products over the years, but sold all of my "stuff" 15 years ago as I was moving to St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands (St Thomads is 13x3 miles and they drive on the left side of the road. Not the best environment for quick cars!) I also have a 2000 Kawasaki ZRX with some aftermarket parts, it runs low 10s and is very streetable.
I'm a Harley Davidson Tech (layed off, at the moment) but work on
everything. I spent most of my time (12 years) in St Thomas doing boat work and was a partner in a marine repair and fabrication business. At the moment my Father, Brother, and I are re-fitting new engines on a 1969 Chris Craft Commander. When we took posession of the boat it had 2 GM 454 4 bolt main engines, BUT when new the boat had 2 Ford 427 Side Oilers! Apperantly, one of the previous owners took them out and took them to a local dump in Florida!!! Can you imagine? I could have cried! Anyway, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it! By the way, this is a fantastic site! Good Day, All! |
