Hi everyone,
Early last year I paid cash with some windfall $ and bought a 2006 Legend Lime GT coupe with auto trans. I underestimated how much my wife would fall in love with this car. So when I saw how much it meant to her I told her it was hers and I would drive my old Toyota pickup except for taking the GT when she had a day off. (Smartest thing I ever did for my marriage

Last weekend I bought a 2006 torch red GT convertible with a stick for ME by financing it. The truck is retired, we'll only get it out in bad weather or to haul stuff. So now we have two 2006 GTs one a coupe and one a convertible. I gotta figure out to clean all the stuff out of my garage so we can get them both in there! Not such a bad problem to have.

I am in Mustang Heaven. I am a pretty good backyard mechanic and I know a lot of professional mechanics too, so I try to do a lot of the work myself.

I will be reading this forum and asking a question now and then. I find the forums the best place to get answers.

I started having that fuel sensor error at any tank level over 1/2 with my 2006 GT convertible. I started using Techron additive with every fill up and of course I stopped using any gas but Chevron. I did a can of Sea Foam too.
Now I am on my 5th tank of gas with no fuel sensor error.
Cool eh?

It may very well come back but its amazing how some problems go away when you use the right kind of fuel.

Well here it is 11-05 and I haven't had the fuel sensor error now for a long time.
I think I'm on my 7th fill up with no error message. I've stuck with Chevron gas and I'v used Techron additive in about every third fill up and Sea Foam once. We've also been putting only Chevron in our newer GT, and have put in the Techron additive a few times in that one as well. Hopefully it will never have the sensor error.

Someone commented in this thread that They feel sorry for my bank account with two Stangs to mod, boy were they right on the money with that comment.
So many mods that I want for both cars, so little actual cash to do it with. I guess I'm going to have to get better at saving $

Future mods - We want to do both cars with cold air intake and tune. Louvers for back side windows on Green GT, Borla stingers for red GT Conv. Eventually Magna Charger supercharger for red GT...lovin it!
