 New Member Hello and Question,1989 Mustang
Through some owed money/ helping a friend/ won a bet.... I am now the owner of an 89 5.0, and I had no idea what I was getting myself into. All I can say is... WOW!!! Why don't they make every car like this? Holy cow it's sooooo much fun to drive!
I'm starting to sort it all out and boy does it need some love! I got new struts all around, rebuilt rack, new front tires, and basic tune up stuff; plugs, wires, cap, rotor. In putting the new struts on the front I found the top strut bushings worn a bit. So here's my question... do I go for the $20 new bushing dust boot combo, leave the bushings and spend elsewhere, or are the camber plates worth the money at this time? My needs and checkbook aren't meeting up so I'm leaning towards just the bushings, but I don't want to be shortsighted either. Thank you in advance for your comments. |
