I have just joined this group of Mustang Owners.
I saw the first Mustangs back in 1964, a red one, convertible!
I always thought I would own one, but, family and all of that came first.
Now I at least own an engine, 2.3 , 1988.
It was installed into my 1930 Model A Ford, and a 4 door sedan no less. It ran rather well, until.......rap rap rap... So I pulled the engine and there in amazement was the problem... the skirt had broken away and was stuck within the break and remained there until I pulled it out of the chamber, Lucky?? well I was, and it did no damage to the cylinder wall either.
So I am either looking for a set of new standard size pistons, or perhaps a nice used set, standard bore, 3.078 and standard rings.
