Default 351 Running 200 Degrees

NEED SOME HELP WITH 89 FORD MUSTANG WITH A RUNNING WARM CONDITION. 351 WINSOR WITH GT-40 HEADS. RUNNING 200 DEGREES OUT OF REGULATOR. DELTA T ACROSS THE RADIATOR IS 15 DEGREES. 185 DEGREES GOING INTO WATER PUMP. TRIED 160 REGULATOR, NO DIFFERENCE. REMOVED THE REGULATOR COMPLETELY AND STILL RUNS AT 200 DEGREES. ELECTRIC FAN WITH SHROUD.

That temp is exactly where it should be.

Remember that the HOTTER you run the motor the better the MPG and power will be.

However if there is zero change with your stated efforts I'd suspect a faulty temp sensor.

temp readings are coming from a mechanical gauge, double checked with a non contact temp gun and the gauge is accurate. trying to find out if there are holes in the head that are blocked by the head gasket, of which are fel pro P-3333. Just seems too hot. I would be happy with 180.
