A lot of you know and remember me awhile back when I used to post over here a lot.
I was the borderline insane redneck from Texas who was passionate about Mustang IIs to a fault (still am).
Well, after about two years of being gone I am back... this time with another pony in the stable, and hopefully a lot more maturity and wisdom than back then.
My '74 has seen virtually everything since I left, different carbs (including running a Holley 600cfm 4-bbl. for awhile), different cams, and now a different engine (still a 2.3, but much more upgraded, using an '88 longblock as the base). It even wears liscense plates and has insurance now.
About a year after I left here, I sold that big old T-bird of mine ($60 fill-ups were too much, and it needed them too often) and bought a 1987 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Convertible as my new daily driver in the name of gas mileage. I've put a new engine in it since then (a Recon-built 308 Windsor that dyno'ed at 238.9hp and 302.1ft/lbs of torque with a 600cfm carburetor and dual-plane intake on the dyno), had the original AOD rebuilt with a shift kit, improved internals, and a better torque converter. It's got FRPP 19lb injectors, Ford Racing and Motorcraft tune-up parts, Flowtech headers, MAC off-road H-pipe, Flowtech Stinger catback with non-bypass Warlock mufflers, Chrome Pony wheels wrapped in Dayton Daytona ZR rubber, a white leather interior, ultra clear headlights, 155lph in-tank pump, autometer and faze gauges, smog pump delete, Proform electric fan, cold-air intake, police interceptor speedometer, it's getting 3.55:1 gears as we speak, and has a performance chip (I seriously don't know which one, I just know that when the original computer puked, and the only one I found that matched was at a junkyard, the sticker on the end that says "Warranty part, do not remove" was gone and was replaced with a metal plate that screwed on, I didn't even think about it till I started the car and it was running a little richer according to my A/F ratio gauge... then came the test drive.... and the barking of the tires on both the 1-2 and 2-3 upshifts with the 2.73s still in the rear! (Something it would NEVER do before, not even when trying, it'll do it any time, anywhere now!), and a 2-3mpg increase in both city and highway driving... one of these days I'll pull the computer and investigate further, I'm just having too much fun now to do it!

RJS 11-gallon fuel cell, C4 tranny, chrome 16" pony wheels, fuzzy dice, brown vinyl half-top, and painted in the tackiest color ever (harvest gold, that's why I call it "The Goldenrod").
Also have a 2003 Dodge Ram (lightly modded daily driver/tow rig/office/dining room/home away from home/workshop... I call it "The Big Blue Dawg".)
Congratulations on your new ride. From your avatar, your new Fox looks great. How about posting a few pictures of your rides to your members gallery. Good to see you back online!

Welcome back, your real world technical expertise was truly missed. You were one of the best 'hairy knuckle' mechanics on here when I first joined and I'm happy you came back.
