Unless you're putting in a 5.0L Cammer or something similarly wild, it's going to be cheaper to simply buy a v8 car.
It will cost you more than the difference in price to do it. And then you'll just have GT-level performance.
It would be cheaper to build the six, and then for the 4-5000 dollars you've invested, you can have a car that performs better than a GT.
The only reason to do a swap is if you're building a real street rod, and you're going to throw out everything in the process.
