If you have any mechanical knowledge, the old ones are really simple. I bought a 67 coupe that somone had already swapped a 302 into (it was origionally a six). I painted the car, installed a new interior, then bought a pos just like it for the front and rearend. The whole prodject only cost about 2500$ and 2 years of my time, and I sold it for 5 grand in 2000. If you do all the work yourself and shop smart it can be fairly cheap, and a lot of fun. I have a 2001 GT now, and I'm lost on all of the new EFI stuff. |
