Default Hello Hello Hello

Hello everybody,

I am just new to this forum but I hope to obtain lots of everyones knowledge as I am restoring a favorite of mine. I am re building an old 88 LX 4 Banger. I am going to bring her back to life with a motor I have pulled and rebuilt from an 87 GT. The only snag that I have run into so far is my wiring harness swapping for the computers, a few of the plugs for the 88LX came out with the motor, and there are some that I need still in the GT. Is there anyone else out here who has done the same type of thing or that really knows their stuff when it comes to both of these cars that I could ask a few questions too. If so that would totally help me out so I could get on with it. I am confident that I can make this work by researching myself but I thought I would come to where there are others like myself and see what happens.

Thanks guys.

Bob.

Hey guys I am Back now,

Ok so what I have going on is this,I have the 87 GT 5.0 rebuilt and ready to go into the 88 4 banager LX body. I have stripped the wiring harness from the 87 and it's EEC as well. So once I was ready I stripped the 88's EEC and harness too. Now that I have started to put the 87's harness into the 88 I have found that there are a few plugs that go into the car right by the brake booster and go into the fire wall. These plugs look similar but do not match. I am a little confused only because these plugs from the 88 stayed with the little 4 banger, but the ones I thought were going to come with the GT for the same thing did not and they stayed in the car. I have since stripped them out as well. I guess what my question is, is are these for the guages inside? And does any one know what the colors are for what gauges for both cars? If this even makes any sense at all to you all. Any help would kick ass.

Thanks Guys

Bob.

Well everybody,

I have the stang almost ready to come alive. I have all my wiring harnesses changed over. Fuel lines are almost done. This weekend I am hopefully going to have the motor and tranny in, and if everything goes really smooth the rear end as well. My goal has been to start it up before the snow flies and it looks like we might just pull it off. I am so happy I just had to share. What a loser hey? Anyway chat soon.

Bob.

Well everyone she is alive and rippin. Everything has gone fairly smooth. Had to replace the starter and the altenator but other that a few minor bugs to work out she is good to go. Now we are just going to swap suspension parts and we are done. Then on to the body next summer. This was a big time learning curve for me and my buddy that helped me out with this one.

Happy Drivin Boys.
