 timing for a 289 1966 coupe with perform 4bbl
Hello,
I'm glad I found this sight and look forward to everyones knowledge. I have a question and would appreciate assistance. I have a 289 with performer intake, holly 4150 and Mallory HEI distributor. I not used to this model as I switched from a die hard fox body guy to a 66 coupe. Does anyone know the proper procedure for checking the timing and what a good base to start at would be. I have added a T5 with hydraulic clutch, don't know if that matters, but really would like to squeeze every bit of Hp out of her as possible. The engine is originally a C code with the intake and carb change if that helps.
