Welcome to AFM Pierre. I'm just over the border from you. Sorry to hear about your car leaking. Are the floor pans rotted out? Any visible rust spots underneath?

Not sure. Are there any small holes in the top of the trunk area? Maybe a bad weld or something? How about the trunk gasket itself? Try putting a bright light in the trunk and putting it in a dark garage to see if you can see any light. Could be a fenderwell too.

A friends Father still has a '71 or '73 Mach1 that he bought brand new. Talk about never letting a good car go......

just tried pouring glasses of water every critical spots, water coming
through the tail light!! but gasket seems ok! I ll take it apart ,clean
gasket (one gasket cost 35.00 cdn!!no way!!)and see....

btw,did you know when water pours on door rails,it goes through this
seem and comes out this little hole under car?????
anyway soon winter here,Ill figure this out next spring!!

I feel for you..... I have to put mine away this weekend. I usually bring it out again the 1st of April. At least I have snowmobiling in the Wintertime. That's 5 months of staring at it. It would be worse if I had your car. Nice vehicle!!!!! Maybe you can just get some clear silicone to seal the leak. As long as it's not in a highly visible area, it may work.

Just go to the classic mustang section of the forums. All the guys are pretty good in these forums and they'll steer you in the right direction for upgrades. Sorry you had to put it away, but at least it won't be out in the salt/sand/glass that Montreal is known for. Mine is now tucked away until Spring, but I have a supercharger upgrade going in just before it comes back out.
