The muscle everyone seems to hate :] Well I am new to these forums, I am 16 years old (17 in May), I just saved up the money to purchase a 'barely' operating Mustang II 1976 with V8 engine and manual transmission.
Why I bought the car I did: Well I love muscle cars from the 60's-70's, I wanted to pick up a '69 Firebird but because I was to impatient to wait to find the perfect buy I ended up running into the '76 Mustang and I thought it looked cool, and it had a low price tag on it. Basically I plan to fully restore-modify it and keep it as my main car, and later to buy my dream car (the '69 Firebird).
I'd post pictures of my car but I am afraid you'll all scoff[sp] at it, later on I will be sure to post before and after pictures of everything I do (working on the interior first, since it is the cheapest). Well; looking for some car enthusiast friends because in real life I dont have any (they all like rice burners). So if you own a muscle car or better yet worked on a Cobra II I'd love to be friends, because then I can ask you lots of nerve-ending questions about how to do this and that. =]
Thats all about me, oh and other interest's :: I like games, movies, comics, theater, drama, books, writing, women, money and music (industrial, and early metal).

Hello and welcome to our Mustang world. Have norries friend, you did fine. everyone has to start somewhere with their first Stang. In my case, I envy you, I was 37 when I got my first Stang, so getting your first Stang at 16 is quite an acomplishment. Anyways, now that you are here, do post a few pics of your new ride. Also, com on in and enjoy the site.

I attached a purchase picture to this post, couldnt get the hyper link to work, oh well. Anyways the picture isnt great, and I of course havent done a paint job yet; but as I said, I'll give everyone updates on the car as I go along, and I am glad you are all interested, makes me feel more enthusiastic about working on the vehicle.
Oh and Brent, dont got graphics yet but I plan to buy the originals and to get a custom drawn Cobra on the hood (to fill in the gap where the stripes would have been). But that wont be for a few months yet, so I hope your still around in the summer.
