Default 2006 Mustang Grill Swap [Introduction]

Hi we are Deby ~n~ Brian from Statesville, NC. We recently purchased a 2006 Mustang V6 we absolutely love the car but it is time to start "personalizing" it. We would like to begin by replacing the stock grill with the GT grill and fog light combination. It is my understanding that the wiring is all in place for this switchover. I have heard there is some minor trimming required to make the GT grill fit properly. It is our desire to keep this all stock OEM components to make it appear factory installed. We prefer to work with Ford OEM parts [grill, switches etc.] rather than install an aftermarket kit. We would welcome any comments anyone may have in regards to this grill switchover. Thanks

Default v6 - gt grill

Hey I finished my transformation a few weeks ago. The easy way is to buy a gt bumper, buy a foglight switch , and buy 2 inner flywheels for thebumper. My dads friend wired my headlights up to my foglights so i didnt have to buy the switch.

If you want maybe u can find someone who wants to buy a V6 grill and trade that and some cash for a GT grill , just a thought i hope this helps.

Welcome to the forums... A GT grill will not fit the V6 front fascia. You'll need to buy an aftermarket one designed to fit the V6.

Hi Deby & Brian and welcome to the site. I want to do the same thing to my '06 v-6, but decided to do my exhaust next and then the lights some time later. Let me know how this turns out for you.
