Default Newbie Alert :) got 4.6 questions

Hopefully my first post doesn't get me tossed I inherited my dads 1993 lincoln towncar recently, he passed almost a year ago today, I miss him dearly ;(

I want to clean up his car and fix all the things wrong with it, there aren't a whole lot of lincoln town car forums so i'm hoping the 4.6 in his 1993 is the same as a mustang 4.6 of the same vintage.

I just printed out the code sheet with info on how to dump them, check engine light is on....

Oh and I used to own a 1984 1/4 mustang gt, 5 speed 302, limited slip. I road raced it at Lime Rock every chance i got and pretty much practiced those skills on most on ramps what a fun car....
