You said that he has an intake, i would think a tuner also like SCT or a Predator or atleast should have one. Looking at your mods in your sig, i would say that he has you. With my 05GT, when i just had the intake and tune, i was pushing 289rwhp and like 296rwtq. If i had to guess, your pushing like 220-230rwhp, around that. The gears will help you off the line if you can launch it right. Youll need heads, intake, cam and so on to beat him.
I see it says jet performance chip, i would definitely get rid of that and get a dyno tune with a chip if you can. That jet chip does nothing more that what you can do just by bumping the timing with the distributor and messing with the fuel with a adj, fuel pressure regulator. It's super generic. A dyno tune with a chip will net you more power.
The track would be alot safer but if you do, keep it safe and know when to back down.

Agree. His '06 should do a mid-13's 1/4 mile and you won't be even close to that.

i want to have the stock heads and intake ported and thrown on a steeda 19 cam but i dont know if porting them would be a waste of money when i can just buy newer one? how much is a port for intake and the heads? how much are new better heads and intake? i really need help deciding. my goal for this car is 300-320 rwhp all motor

AFR 185cc heads, hardened pushrods, E303 cam, Edelbrock performer intake, finish the exhaust, and get a tune.

To put it bluntly, your going to lose badly. That 06 is putting down 300hp at the flywheel if he has a K&N filter and any type of tune its just gonna be alot uglier for you. Your car needs better heads and cam. And if it were me long tube headers off road H pipe, control arms, some sticky tires and a really good tune.
It will be a drivers race esp on the street, let us know how it went.

I had the Steeda #19 cam and would recommend with their #18 or a different cam all together...if you don't plan on going with a supercharger. Now with a blower, my #19 cam really worked well. Of course I had GT-40Y heads with a Cobra intake, the 64cc y heads dropped the compression ratio just a bit (I thought at least), which helped as well. I just thought the cam was a little soft for a naturally aspirated car. If you wanted 400+rwhp, you could buy the supporting mods and throw on an S-trim or P1SC.
IMO, with all else being equal, the 06 Mustang GT should own your car. Be careful on the streets as well.
