I have sat by rather quietly and watched this ping pong match for two days now... I just want to add that this post has turned into an arguement by 2 or 3 members...no problem. The problem is that not all V8 guys think they are king of the road (some of us know it

JK) . When you say that V8 is "heavy and underpowered" and "weight distribution is horrible" and "hard to overcome for handling".... are you referencing all mainstream GTs or just the select few remaining unmodified 5.0's (most of which are well over 100k miles)? If this is your opinion of
ALL V8s, you should probably go to your local Ford dealer and drive one. The S197 is the strongest and best handling production Mustang ever... and it is not real cool to bash the flagship of the product line on her own forum.
Mine is very close to stock and runs very well... and doesnt feel heavy.... and definitely overcomes the weight distribution for handling purposes.
