Hello everyone.
This past sunday coming to San Angelo from Austin on route 183 in Austin just driving minding my own business doing about 60 mph, having a slight exhaust leak caused by short bolts poping out and me fixing it in the parking lot with longer bolts, i was just returning to base.
Anyway i'm driving about 60 this silver/tan volvo pulls up next to me, this is just me and him for some reason, 3 young kids in the car with hats on a side i'm thinking probably took his moms car with an idea of it having T5 engine, lol... so i'm thinking well ok let me play a little .
I was in 5th gear we looked at each other and accelerated at the same time i immediatly pulled away hard from him and only reached like 3-4 psi ( on my greedy boost controller) or something, by 70 he was 3-4 cars back, i decided no sence in proceding so i braked and slowed down to 65, he flyes by me like we were still racing, i laughed but apparently he slowed down and all 3 of them were looking at the front my car, lol ( my intercooler is not visible unless you look for it behind the lower grill.. so its a sleeper. ).
They took the next exit and the driver threw "peace" sign i honked back and they took the exit.
Overall i was surprised and please how easily and rapidly not even driving hard i was able to walk away from him.
P.S. Sorry its not a mustang i'm driving.

Thanks man, yes definately street racing is something to be very carefull about, this time it was without braking speed limit and the road was completely empty so i raced. Usually i dont street race. There is a track like 10 miles from my base in San Angelo i will go there after i get tuned to 6 and 9 psi by a pro in Austin. I was thinking about getting tuned by Kenny Tran (Jotech) in Dallas but they charge $650 flat rate which is expensive, but he is a professional racer as well as tuner so you basically pay half of it for his brand.
I was also referred to another place in Austin i think its called protech performance i heard the guy there John does very good job as well, plus he gave me very good rate cuz i was referred to him and the military discount everything in total will be $350 out the door, so i think i will go to him.
But right now i'm running on 8.5 tune from NY and my buddy was tuned there by Ripp Modz and made 306WHP on this tune, he later corrected it because the car would stall randomly, so i'm honestly not sure what i'm putting down at the moment. but its definately upper 200's. I will be able to update and post dyno sheet for proof in 2 weeks when i get tuned for texas weather and with boost controller on 2 settings, with all the leaks fixed and dump tube routed to the downpipe as this Texas heat and open dump heat is a no-no for the engine compartment.

I can post pics no problem ) the car is very dirty thou at the moment, cuz it rained last week, and behind the shop there is no pavement only gravel, so i have dirt on my car actually, lol )
I'll post pics after i fix my exhaust leak and route my dump tube to the downpipe and will actually make a video of my car being tuned.
Hey i'm surpised you guys interested in an import especially scion, lol...bacause i've read on the forums that alot of LS people and mustang owners have no respect for tC's and think its a strictly girls car.. that was one of the reason that helped me decide towards turboing my ride. ) lol...
But you guys are nice so far. I would love to actually run a stock new GT and see how i do , it would be awesome to have fun with a Z 350 and G35/37 , i know especially G people have big ego's .
but with a mustang i wanna run, because i used to sell them, and just want to hang out with mustangs especially being able to surprise most is a good thing.

haha, no i'm not a rude guy unless someone is being rude, plus i have to act in a military manner 24/7 lol... even online )
and i leave mouth running to other people, but yes i agree that there are buttholes in every group.
i cant wait 'till i get my gaskets and dump tube corrected so i can go to Austin and get tuned like i want to, then it would be fun. i'm gonna go to the track by my base and do my first 1/4 mile in this car, i wonder how my car will perform and my tires especially.
unfortunately my car is front wheel drive , so hopefully Pirellis wont spin much, but if i will run mid-high 13's then i guess i'll be happy with that and will practice more.
If on race setting 9 psi i will push 300 at the wheels then its good enough to run low 13's on good tires and good start, but the launch can be tricky.
My buddy from east coast has greddy kit and his car is an auto he only has 210 WHP and like 220 tq or something, he ran 14.01 which is excellent by looking at his numbers.

I actually don't like the xb or xa scion, I thought they were butt ugly. But the TC is actually a nice car my boy had one that I used to ride in all the time and they're comfortable and quiet, while still feeling sporty. Whenever you get it cleaned post some pics up .

no you havnt said anything rude at all and there's nothing wrong with you hanging out here...I was just saying just be respectful to us b/c there have been people with WS6's and just other people have tried to come in here and run their mouth but then they get shut down lol...but ya if you're cool with us then we'll be cool with you
I'm pretty much cool with everyone who likes cars, i dont discreminate the brand as it all comes down to a personal preference, needs and budget.
I made a typo in my previous post, car should be ready by the end of this month . This means i will go to the track the first friday ( i think ) of April and do some 1/4 mile runs and will find a 'stang to run against there.
Any of you guys use those DR's that are DOT approved on the streets and at the track ? if you have used them let me guys know because when my Pirellis ware out i'm thinking about picking up a set of DR's that are DOT approved and can be used on the street.
