Cobra vs imports.

Me and my friend Travis were cruising town last night with my brother in my 96 V6 Stang and me in the Cobra,Travis in his 94 Z28 Camaro when we seen all the imports parked at signs now.Of cource Travis and my brother pulled in there and started ****.I kept going past to go to Taco Bell cause I had my girl with me and she was nagging about her being hungry so we stopped in there.Well when I was at the pick up window I looked by me and there was my brother racing some white little car and I was like that jerk he is going to get his self killed.I swear there had to be at least 6 cars following them all I was o ****.So I called him on the cell and asked him whats going on he said that they pulled in there and revved up then when Travis went to go get some gas that those imports followed them down there and started talking **** so being the cocky jerk my brother(just like me)he said bring it and took off while Travis was still pumping gas.

Lol he said he smoked this dude in a Honda Accord but this dude in a Turbo Mr2 got him really bad and when they pulled in the turn around spot the dude tolled him to take the **** home to mommy.So my brother got mad as hell and said why dont u race my brothers Cobra and the guy didnt believe him I guess and said Cobra dont have **** and all the little dorks pulled in at the Car wash.Oh I got pissed off and said lets go get Travis and we will show this little bunch of dorks whats up.

Now these little dorks in the cars have this little car club,U know the type import racing kind of ****.Think stickers and wings ass horse and if u mention torque to them they say whats that.So my brother pulles in the car wash and revves up alone with all those little ***** boys.And the Fat ass dude in the Mr2 said o know its a 3.8 Mustang o know.lol thenn I pulled in the Cobra and I revved that ****** up to 6 grand I mean it sounds like a ******* beast pissed off at that.Then the looks on there face turn from we can take the six Mustang to o ****.Here comes Travis right behind me revving up and his car sounds like a ******* big block with his exuasts.So I asked the dude in the Mr2 u beat my little brother now why dont u race the the Cobra.So he said I have beat Cobras before said no big deal.I said what Cobra he said I dont know the year or anything and I was like well if your so sure then lets do it.I said u pick on my brother come pick on me.I mean I was kinda pissed at this point.So he said Highway one sixty.I said keep up if u can and.I let Gwen which is my girlfriend ride with my brother and I tore out of that lot like a ******* cycloon tearing threw first and second and barked 3rd hard.

We lined up on Highway 160 side by side.(this road is empty in the middle of the night so no worry about Traffic).He was revving that thing and all u could hear was his blow off valve.Not impressed.I let william my other friend who was riding with Travis count us on.When he put his hands down I gunned it hard.I took it off at about 2500 grand and barly chirped the tires and pulled from the Mr2 on the spot I hit second on redline almost and barked the tires and looked back and I was almost 2 and a half cars a head.I shifted in third a little early but still kep up the pace and pulled almost4 cars a head and I looked in my mirrow and there was that ******* crazy Travis passing the guy too I almost died a lauging knowing that dude just got his **** handed to him by both of us.By the time I let out of it I was doing 115 and was over 6-7 cars ahead of the Mr2.And the dork done the famous ricer fly bye.u know where u let out and they keep it floored and go by.It was ******* pathetic.After we went back into town I seen them at wal-mart and the dude was being cool.He said that I ******* roasted his ass and most people he sees in Cobra wont do anything and I suprised him.So no hard feeling I said.But I just gave my car some rep cause u got to be represnting those Snakes.It was fun as hell thats all I got to say.Hey does anyone live in Tennessee cause I wouldnt mind cruising with one of u guys and showing the Imports whos boss.

Oh I looked a little further on the Mr2.my god they are slow.

2001 MR2 SPYDER
0-60: 7.1 Transmission: Manual
1/4 Mile: 15.4
1/4 Speed: 88

2002 Toyota MR2 Spyder SMT

0-60: 8.2 Transmission: Manual
1/4 Mile: 16.2
1/4 Speed: 86

Now lets see here my Cobra with a great driver got it to 4.8 secs 0-60 now the Mr2 driver got 6.2 well its seems I hit 60 about second a a half faster which is a lot in racing.Rockets no firecrackers they may be.

Laughing... 03 Cobra R???? You pulled someone's card and didn't look very good doing it. I think you might have missed and it fell back in his pocket.

Unless a MR2 is way moded, internal (engine) wise, and pushing lots and lots of boost, you aren't going to see anything special.

That's about like me saying I have a Turbo on my 2K2 GT, does that automatically fit me in the same braket as the Viper, Z06 (Not to mention the 03 Cobra R, laughing)? No!!!

I don't mean to wrag you but what you did was wrong. You shouldn't have stated your post like you did, maybe ask him about the car first and if he knew what year and maybe even mods. I take it since he looked up a 95 MR2 first, that would be the car he is talking about. Sounds like you took defense to what he said, you wouldn't happen to own a MR2 would you? Just asking?

Yes, and I am waving in the background and yelling, me too, me too. Maybe an 04. Trying to wait until next year though, have my GT (hopefully next September) paid off and use it as an everyday driver.

I hear u all on the 03 Cobra.I would still kill for one but I just couldnt pass my chance up of getting one now.I guess I could have went the extra mile and found a brand new onebut 01 will do me.I will start modding it so I can take a 03 Cobra then I will feel good

Let's keep this clean guys... Doesn't sound like an off the wall story to me... You know the guy MR2faster? Well he ran like a 13.5 or 13.7 something like that with 22lbs of boost... MR2 turbo.... not big deal. Especially with a 01 cobra.

Cool story man. I see you are in Morristown! I'm just down the road in Knoxville.

I looked at buying a '03 Corba just last weekend but the payment was going to jump me up from $475 to $800. I got approved for the loan, but when they came back with that payment, I had to pass. I cried myself to sleep that night.
