yeah i understand that. im just saying i think you beat the driver more than the car but its still a good kill. wait till he has a few more months driving the car and do a rematch it should be a much better race. hopefully a little closer unless he is a slow learner jk jk
tha sti is rated 305 hp while mine is rated 305 hp but with more torque. if launched properly tha mach has no problems the sti does take it at the launch but within seconds the machs passin by
imma see him 2night to go for a cruise and my cuz that just picked up a 05 gt (gt350 tha decals say but not 2 sure on difference. so rerace tonight with new commpetitior. the gt has sum drags on it aswell with exhaust and intake maybe more not to sure.
im hopin sumone will be able to tape it then ill throw up videos.
my buds has had the sti longer than me and has driven manual for longer than me also but theres one a couple houses down that thinks he all crazy imma try to hit him up

both evos and sti's have great launches but are slow down once speeds increase,hence the relativly high trap times with low trap speeds(talking stock of course)
very believeable that he pulled on him stock.hence the reason all i said was"good kill man"lol
it's the driver, not the car, should be a very close race, i know this one guy, has a Subaru tuner shop locally, his STI pulls 133MPH 1/4 mile with no weight reduction
anyway the new STI has the same power as before but weighing a few hundred lbs more

so my cuzin picked up a 05 gt (side said GT 350) with K&N and Mac Exhaust. my buddy with the sti and another with a jeep srt8 met up with us and we just ripped it down a 3 lan road. the sti and gt were evenish when the srt was in front and i was right on his bumper. then we pulled over to take sum pics and talked about the thrill each of us got. I think that if i was to get drags i should be able to give the srt8 a crazy race with me winning hahaha i hope
also i was behind a challenger with exhaust on the way back not to sure if it was rt or srt8 it was dark. this guy was probaly in his 50s wiht his wife. i hear him downshift when he saw me so i went after him. we end up stopping at the next light with only one lane
spliting in to 2 within 200meters or so. We take off the whole time i was right behind him till the 2 lanes cam so i switch and come to his door but then he started braking. (His Wife was hot). but they gave me a smile and brought up my hopes on beating my buddies srt8 jeep. But that thing has mad launches way better than the sti. im hoping we can hit up the dragstrip b4 they close it down.( ithink this is tha last year)
Scoobie (Subaru) drivers think their STIs and WRXs are the sh!t, but when they talk their crap about beating me, my car pulls on them by about 2/3 cars.
my girlfriend is mad at me shes not giving me any...dammit..bring me a sti so i can get all this anger out.....

I always thought the AWD rally cars were quick to 60 MPH then started to peter out after that, unless they modify them!
Along those AWD lines.... Last year I had a Silverado SS next to me revving his engine at a light on a long stretch of beautiful 4 lane highway. He launched on me like there was no tomorrow, looked back, and laughed. He wasn't laughing anymore when I went around him at 90 MPH. Yes his truck was fast, but it has the aerodynamics of my house at higher speeds.
Sorry guys, STI's are pretty quick- def not from a roll though.. My two good friends have 05's and 06's.. When we were both stock i beat um in a 06 GT that is Automatic. Now one is fully built(still slow) 300to the wheels.. and one is bolt ons. Still not fast, we run side by side.. Well we did before i had my gears. Now from a launch if they can do it(99% of STI drivers cant though), they leave hard. My best friend has an evo, that thing is sick- way better built car then a crappy STI. Just laugh at how crappy the shifter/gear box is.. Feels so clunky, almost like its getting caught on about EVERYTHING before it gets to the gear it is supposed to go in..
Nice kill with the mach1! Man i have always wanted to run a mach1, never see them here and if i do- they are older and don't wanna give it a go.
