I wouldn't even waste my gas on a V6 Camaro.lol...It was a new 2010 SS LS3 6.2 liter Automatic (400 HP rating on automatic cars). I have a Whipple HO (10 lbs boost) Supercharger on my GT (500 HP kit). If you look in my sig you'd have seen that. The Camaro is well over 4100 lbs with a passenger and has around 350 rwhp. Mine weighs about 300 lbs less with me and a passenger and puts down 440 rwhp . I have less weight and more horsepower. Hence the outcome in the video.
I gotta say it's gonna be a fun summer with all the SRT-8 Challenger's and now the Camaro SS's out on the road (and track). It sure is nice seeing American Muscle out on the streets again instead of just rice everywhere.
I wonder if the Camaro SS has forged internals. I guess in a year or so, the aftermarket boys will catch up and we'll be seeing highly modded Camaros. That big engine worries me a bit because it's really... BIG! I wonder what Steve Saleen is doing with the SMS Camaro that he is hiding under a curtain.
The nice thing about Ford is they are not deaf or blinded by sales numbers. Which is why an engine upsize is most likely going to be ordered for the 2011 Mustang GT. I bet the 5.4 will be standard while a bigger one will be used for the Shelby GT500, or maybe twin turbos?

This is old news but the 5.0 liter 4V Coyote engine is going in the 2011 Mustang. As for horsepower it will be 400+. We'll have to wait and see what the final numbers will be. http://www.leftlanenews.com/ford-coyote-v8.html

Sucks that the Camaro owner had been waiting for that moment since he preordered the thing October last year. He couldnt wait to line up next to a S197 Stang and show him a real performance car. Sometimes dreams dont come true. He will probably be scared of Stangs from now on.
