I wonder if the Camaro SS has forged internals. I guess in a year or so, the aftermarket boys will catch up and we'll be seeing highly modded Camaros. That big engine worries me a bit because it's really... BIG! I wonder what Steve Saleen is doing with the SMS Camaro that he is hiding under a curtain.
The nice thing about Ford is they are not deaf or blinded by sales numbers. Which is why an engine upsize is most likely going to be ordered for the 2011 Mustang GT. I bet the 5.4 will be standard while a bigger one will be used for the Shelby GT500, or maybe twin turbos?

Not impressed with the camaro's at all, V6 or V8. The SS can run low 13's, i've seen GT's run that too..stock and mild mods. I wish i can meet one on the street.

Some of you guys are forgetting what time of year this is. The DA at tracks around the country will be horrible until around September. If they are running 13.0's-13.3's (what I've seen) now, they will definately be into the 12's with some decent DA. Hell, a 109mph trap speed in a 3900lb vehicle STOCK in 2000 DA is nothing to be ashamed of.

Yeah there will be 2010 camaros hitting high 12's Im sure. And yes they have pretty much a bullitt proof engine, forged internals and all. Nice kill though man, some of those drivers are gonna be cocky and think they are untouchable and glad ya put him in his place. You really dusted his ass too which is what I expected. The LS3 does not have forged internals. And I'm fairly certain you'd walk away from one.

I can't wait to meet one. That's all I have to say at this point. I've only seen a few V6's,and they were being driven by chicks. And not the racey-type chicks, either. More like: The chicks in love with Shia Lebuff (however you spell it) who want to drive the same car he put his ass on in Transformers.
Just saw my first one on the road. Just him , me , ten miles of deserted US 131, and a State cop. 72mph for 10 miles sucks. My exit came up before the cop got off the road.

In all fairness I think he got off the gas by the time I pulled about 3-4 lenghts on him. From a dig I think he would have given me a much better run as my stock tires(which were on the car) don't hook up at all in 1st or 2nd. But even then I don't think he would have much of a chance once I got rolling.

Thats what I was thinking. Looks like once he saw it was over and the speeds were getting high he shut down. Better for him because it was only getting worse. A guy at work got a new V6. Hes telling people it has over 400hp and that the SS has 500. Non car lovers are hopeless.
This is the best kill story because it has video. Some of the strange kill stories I have read on this site are ???
