I thought it was pretty much a bullitt proof engine from the factory? I know the 6spd they use in it can handle a ton of power.
They can handle around 600whp and then some with no problem, but not forged. The LS1/6's are actually MORE reliable than the LS3's when it comes to actually tracking the car on road tracks. Seems like the oil system is a little problematic during extended use and they will expierence starvation. Dry Sump LS7's don't have that problem though obviously.

Hes telling people it has over 400hp and that the SS has 500. Non car lovers are hopeless.
This is the best kill story because it has video. Some of the strange kill stories I have read on this site are ???
Yeah some people are clueless!!!
The ricer formula is to usually multiply actual horsepower by 2-4 times. When talking to a ricer and they ask how much HP I have I usually tell them it's over 1000. That way it's on the same scale as their 600 HP Civic. LOL.
Turns out that was to be my last kill in my Mustang. I sold my GT a couple of weeks ago. Nice to have moments like that captured on video. Thanks for the memories.

No economic woes. The wife and I are moving to the west coast (Vancouver BC) in March 2010 and have begun to downsize and I figured I'd sell my beast while the market is still hot. Once we're settled in at our new location I'll get a new ride. But for now I'll have to settle for driving the V6 convertible, when the wife lets me.LOL.

You didn't return it to stock and sell the mods here on AFM? What did you get for it with all of that stuff installed?
I had a kid with a brand new, stock V6 Camaro telling me that he beats stock Mustang GTs with it all the time. Unfortunately, he backed down when I said I have $1,000 that says otherwise.
On another note, why do I always get ragged that my 2006 GT isn't stock just because the prior owner installed a Ford Racing Exhaust and a Ford Racing suspension while I slapped some BFG KDW 2s on there?

I look forward to the day i see a 2010 Maro that i can run.. V6 will be funny.. SS i may want a few more mods to run it with.. I think headers, midpipe, delete plates, udps should keep me almost even with them till topend..? I would think.
