Default Stang kill and almost cried

so i meet up with some of my buddies tonight and we get to talkin about our cars. One of my buddies has a 03 mustang with a dual set up and cai. so as the night winds down we start to leave and this kid and i take off in hope of an empty road to race on. sure enough we find one so we do a couple of 40 mph starts and i walk him every time mind u i only have cai but rmoved my spare tire (got AAA no worry) and this kid has 2 10"'s in the back with a rear seat delete. so we do our final run and just as we start to slow down i see a cop out of no ware pull behind me and i am now doin 70 in a 45 so the cop sits on my bumper i quickly slow to 45 and set cruise control and gettin ready to turn into the gas station to get my 450 dallor ticket cause ga just implaminted new laws about speeding and then suddenly he turns his blinker on and turns right. By this time i have already soiled my self thinking that i was dead when i got home and handed my parents my ticket ( already have one and one more they drop me from insurence) but ur enough to day was not my day for a ticket and i went straight home and did the speedlimit the whole way home decided not to tempt fate.

i think the cop was a mustang lover or was just lookin to pull over some imports

That is bad--looking in the rear view mirror and the cops are on your ash. One time when I was getting pulled for a speeding ticket, the cop floored his Crown Vic so hard, he fish tailed pulling on to the main road to chase me down. But I was a good citizen and was already pulled over, take the ticket like a man.

Man you lucked out big time. I had a state cop tailgate me one night while I was doing 80 in a 65 I thought I was going to get pulled over so I got over to the other lane and the cop blew right by me.

"man you lucked out???" ida pulled your ass over and slapped you for 450 in a heartbeat. dont race on the street, go to the track its about 1000000 times more fun, and its legal. you should definitely be more responsible since you already have one ticket, real racers dont street race, take it to the track

no, real racers do NOT race on the street, no matter what, never, ever. im saying. i would think you would wise up after getting your first speeding ticket, but i guess not. what if you are going down that road and a raccoon runs out in front of you or the other driver, he swerves and hit you, and you both flip and die. not likely, but it could happen. you can never be sure that a road is "safe" or "desert" someone could always pull out, or somebody could be walking. if you cant go to a track, dont do it. why put yourself, or others in that sort of dangerous situation? i see no point. that cop shoulda pulled you over right there, maybe that would have taught you the lesson you need to learn before you really hurt yourself, or worse, some other innocent person.

yeah, people make mistakes and race on the street from time to time, and a lot of people get ticketed, arrested, whatever, and learn their lesson, they are the lucky ones, others hurt somebody, crash, kill, whatever to learn their lesson, those are the unlucky ones. you, are the REALLLLY lucky one, you almost got popped for racing, but the cop was "cool" and didnt pull you over, i hope you learn from that, and realise how close you were to getting a huge ticket, fines, and possibly a license suspention, and do not do it again.

Oh there is a big chance of hurting someone else....

Guy here in my area back in 2005 was in an SN95 Mustang GT(that wasn't his), he was racing a Dodge Viper. They were going so fast kid in the Mustang rear ended these two teenage girls in a CR-V, the Honda caught fire one girl was killed, the other was severely burned and she was on life support for a long time. The girl that got killed was a homecoming queen. Kid in the Mustang was 19 he got convicted of vehicular homicide. Guy in the Viper was 41, he was also convicted of vehicular homicide. The original charges for both were second degree murder. In Tennessee(where it happened)if they catch you street racing its a Class B misdemeanor punishable by up to 6 months in jail and fines up to $500. They take your car too from what I understand.

you got lucky,he was probaly in hurry to go to the local donut shop
street racing is dangerous,so is track racing.racing is racing period.
oil might be on the track, oil might on the road
insurance wont cover track racing
are street racing accidents common?
no
are track accidents?
i think more than street
if you race on the street, dont do it during high traffic hours.most accidents happen like that.but when its on an empty highway, thats different, still illegal.
if you dont wanna take a risk, then dont buy a sports car,or even walk out the door,or race at all.
