I was at a red light in pouring rain and the guy kept looking at me and wanting to go. When the light turned green he left me like I hit a brick wall because all I could do was hop and lock with the TCS on. At the next light he acted like it never happened. Hats off to the Ford ricer.
Weird, you should have beat the guy even if he had a Mazdaspeed version of the 6. They do have some pep thanks to their AWD. And if it wasn't a Mazdaspeed 6 and a regular "6"... than that was a fluke and really bad luck on your end. If not: He must have done some stuff to it if he beat you so easily.

why were you trying to race in the pouring rain in the first place ? I mean it's ( i hope no one else was around) your decision, but that really wasnt the right idea even for the safety of your own car.
On a side note, i have had trouble hooking up on the dry pavement and in the rain it was pointless when i was putting 300WHP i would spin tires on wet surface at 60mph ( on excellent condition Pirelli PZER NERO ) , yes i know FWD sucks and its fun at the same time. With my new set its going to be TBA on the power 'till i go on leave from my deployment.

I agree. racing in the rain is never a good idea and should be avoided. and racing against an AWD car in your RWD car in the rain is a recipe for a loss.

Mustang+rwd+horsepower+rain=bad things my friend. I had trouble in my past mustangs trying to creep from a stop and still spinning. My Cobra won't see the rain due to the HP and DR's on the back.

He only won because of the wet road. By the way, I like a good kill as much as anybody on this forum. But, in the rain, heavy traffic, or residential area, it is foolish to even attempt it.
i think the Mustang should have the option for a 4WD what do you think, then we always have good traction right ? the mustang horses have traction on all 4 legs right ?

If it was a Mazdaspeed Mazda 6 than its understandable. AWD direct injection intercooled turbo 4-banger. They're like 240 hp. I've been unfortunate to have worked on a few, they're pretty fast. Kinda what the new Ecoboost engines are based on. Still ricey though!
