Who needs a full exhaust any way? lol Mine goes from the headers to the cats and that is it. It is nice and loud.

i agree about the 99-04 v6 having terrible sound. my girlfriend recently got one and the kid that owned had a flowmaster on one side and some knock off on the other, it was obnoxious and sounded like garbage. so she had the stock ones put on and i thought it would be quiet but it still sounds goofy, whats up with that?

I agree. I never did find a good sound for my 2007. I ended up putting 1 flowmaster 40 on and selling the car. That dang car backfired so much, and it was loud as hell.

There is nothing wrong with V6 mustangs. In fact 05-09 4.0 stangs that are supercharged run mid to high 13's. That would smoke plenty of cars. JKmiller runs high 13's. That is nothing.


And when Ford places their direct injected 3.7 it is game over. So many people fail to realize the potential of these engines. With the fuel being sprayed directly into the cylinders, there is less of chance of detonation, hence high boost, better power delivery and a fat torque delivery. The new Cobalts and Madzaspeed 3 are already using direct injection, and they are quick little cars. It will be funny when in the future we see V6 mustangs being easily turbocharged with direct injection, and hearing the sound of a blow of valve Good luck on an autocross circuit trying to keep up with the power to weight ratio. Not to mention how cheap the V6 stangs are to ensure. Things evolve. Yes it is great to have a V8, but you cant ignore the future of the new V6's.

I love the sound of v8 mustangs, especially 5.0's, I know that my 4.0 will never sound as nice but I'm very happy with her.
Eventually plan to add the dual exhaust(just looks better) CAI, and other power boosters.

Nothing like being surprised by a sleeper!

I dont care if it was faster you will never match the sound of a 5.0 or a 4.6 exhaust note.....and yes v6 mustangs are for chicks.IMO

I used to suprise people with my little 05 v6 all the time, i drove it hard and it was quick from a stand still and qucik in corners.
The only issue i had with it is when driving at highway speeds you could put the pedal on the floor and not much happened.

In contrast, my 2010 Gt will push you back in the seat even if your already going like 70mph to start with...oooooo i like that.
