Default Mustang V Backhoe

So my dad has worked in construction related fields for longer than I've been alive, and as such I've met a bunch of interesting characters. Well I was driving down the road and there was a backhoe in the curb lane going up the road. That's frequent enough around here that I didn't really give it thought and just went around him. Well when I get up to the light he caught up to me (Long red) and so I kinda look at the thing. Due to height differences I obviously couldn't see the driver, which if I had known in advance who it was I may have expected this. But anyway he's sitting next to me at the line and "Revs" his backhoe at me. It took me a few seconds to figure out what he was doing lol, but anyway so I rev back at him.

He shouts out "Wanna Race Kid!?" while laughing at him cause I can't see him still, I'm like yeah. I do a little sarcastic trash talking before the light turns. The light turns green, I accelerate like I normally would and all I hear behind me is "WOOOOOO Feel that power ***** I just beat your ***!" At that point I noticed the driver was a friend of my dad's. Talk about a unique kill lol.

Some of this stuff I encounter, I sometimes just gotta wonder if I'm dreaming or something cause it's off the wall to get in a race with a backhoe

Haha that's pretty funny. I remember the time my dad raced me in his '07 Corolla S. The sad thing is that his tires chirped louder than mine did
