Afterward my buddy came around both of us like we weren't even on the road with his 650 RWHP supercharged 2002 Camaro SS. I was humbled in my 2006 GT that had a premium fuel tune and a FRPP suspension at the time.

I always wanted to repeat that race with the Charger SRT-8 after getting my BFG KDW tires but it never happened. Making matters worse, the idiots at my local Ford dealership were nice enough to wipe out my premium tune in December 2008 when I took the vehicle in for an airbag recall. They also messed with the gains on my subwoofer amplifier, but that is a story for another day.

why do they have so much top end? but its funny that fords mid level muscle car can compete so hard with dodges top muscle car lmao

cause we all know that the shelby 500 would smoke the srt8 in every single department

The SRT-8 has a higher electronic speed limiter than the Mustang GT does.

All I know is the dude who pulled away from me stated that his SRT-8 was speed limited in the 150s versus my Mustang GT that throttled me back in the 140s. Pretty sad considering my 2007 V6 6MT Honda Accord marked 160 and I was able to get it into the 140s before I became too scared to see if I could hit 160. I was told the electronic speed limiter had something to do with the speed rating of one's tires, but I don't know how true that is or not.

Also, you should be able to remove the speed limiter with the SCT.
