you will beat the r/t, but the srt8 should win if he knows how to drive.

With drivers being equal (which they never are) The SRT8 is the quickest with the Mustang GT being next by a little over the R/T.
Just my opinion.

In most cases, about 4/6 people can't drive worth ****. And since they are both stock, to me it means they are just another idiot teen driver. People who work on their car, know their car. And the people who don't, are left behind in the dust.

the STR8 is not faster hands down now if it was a stock mustang then yes both of the Challengers would kill it but its not..the Intake and tune really wakes these 05-10 stangs up ive ran a few str8 Chargers when i was Intake tune only and i would get him until 110 only being ahead by a car or so and he would come around and be door to door to 150 so it would be close esp at the track

i can completely agree with this statement.....the challenger is one of the heaviest muscle cars ever made......when they remade it and tried to keep everything the same, they kept that 2 ton frame the same....LOL
EDIT:still trying to figure out why the new 05+ mustang GT has 3 valves, and why they just didnt give us 4 with DOHC?

Don't let that race go over 1/4 mile for the SRT-8 because it has a higher top end speed than our Stangs do, well stock for stock. In 2007 I had the misfortune of running against a friend of a friend in a Charger SRT-8 and I hung with him until about 70/80 MPH when he just started slowly pulling away from me. Afterward my buddy came around both of us like we weren't even on the road with his 650 RWHP supercharged 2002 Camaro SS. I was humbled in my 2006 GT that had a premium fuel tune and a FRPP suspension at the time.
I always wanted to repeat that race with the Charger SRT-8 after getting my BFG KDW tires but it never happened. Making matters worse, the idiots at my local Ford dealership were nice enough to wipe out my premium tune in December 2008 when I took the vehicle in for an airbag recall. They also messed with the gains on my subwoofer amplifier, but that is a story for another day.
