On my way home from work one night last week, I spied a dude in a new Camaro. It was apparant that he was itchin' to race. Generally speaking, I don't bother, truly, street racing most cars just isn't worth the potential ticket, IMO. But this guy just continued to follow me- I even took a couple turns to see if he was just following or going in the same direction. When I doubled back, I figured he was lookin' for a stompin'. I let him follow me to a safe area I know well, and as luck would have it we caught a red. I think he had an auto and used the launch control. I launched "easy" so I wouldn't spin the tires, and we were neck and neck. I slammed on it in second, and said "bye bye." Admittedly, he hung, but I got him by a car length and let off. Satisfied, I turned the corner... Needless to say he stopped following, I suppose to go home and lick his wounds...

hmm i would expect that 04 cobra would pull more then 1 car on those SS's.
at least he honest and didnt say 5 bus lengths.lol
but yea i would have figured more as well, especially if the ss was an auto.must have let off early to pull just a car

Me too, but he says he had to launch easy so he could hook while the camaro used launch control which is an advantage. But if its an auto, that means he had the 400hp version of the SS. If he really wanted, he could have beaten him by more.

Good kill! Glad to hear you didn't humiliate him as bad as you could have.

Hey, thanks all. I didn't do any "spanking." I just wanted to let him know it wasn't a good idea... I save my can of whoop-ass for when I really need it.

I love it. He is probably thinking he should have bought a new Mustang.
So because he lost to a terminator cobra he should of bought a 2010 mustang? I don't get the logic. If he was thinking he should have bought a terminator, then I could understand that....since you know....that was the car he lost to.
Either way Terminators have a good 3-5mph on the new camaros in the 1/4 right? Good kill
