I was sitting at a red light in my 98 v6 mustang I had. The lane next to me ends about a 1/4 mile up the road. Some guy in a grand prix GXP pulls up next to me. Im thinking, ha im not letting this guy past.
The light turns green and I take off. The guy looks over at me with an... are you serious look and proceeds to pull away like I just hit reverse. That was the quickest attitude adjustment I ever experienced lol

Well you have to remember that there is always someone out there who is bigger and badder than you are. I think that has happened to all of us at least once.

........yeah you have a single port V6 .... there are A LOT of other cars that can beat you to include the newer hondas and whatnot.
Sorry man. Even my 03 V6 as modified as it is, is slow as balls compared to a lot of other cars out there now days.

Those GXP's are no joke as mentioned. My boss and a friend raced. Boss had a 01 I believe and the friend had a stock 01 Mustang GT. His GT barely put a fender on it.

It was an older one. I thought they were supercharged V6s. I wasnt even trying to race him, just not let him pass. I gave no hints or clues to what I was doing at that red light. I didnt even spin my tires off the line. Thats what makes it even worse. I basically lost to a guy that didnt even know he was racing

oh ok,it was gtp then,not a gxp.ther not as fast,but when tuned and pullied,there pretty damn quick,and dont weigh much for a sedan.

Yah, if it was an older Grand Prix GTP then they're like 240hp. The regular GT's had like 190 hp out of the V6's. They're not out of this world fast but have quite a bit of hp on the 98 3.8.
