My first (literal) kill

I work at discount tire and one of my co-workers has a lightly modded golf gti (the turbo'd 4 banger) that he constantly **** talks my car for. well last saturday we got off work right at the same time. our store is right off of a highway and asked if he wanted to race. we did a couple and had a good understanding of the outcome but he wasn't done. after i had beat him a few times he demanded a 40 roll. i said fine and right as he launched i heard a clunk followed by a rattling noise. i asked him what it was and he informed me he just lost his second gear. today at work he announced he is selling his car in favor of something a little more reliable (and fast)

. first time i've a.) caused someone to break something in a race... b.) caused someone to sell their car... and c.) beaten his gti.. gotta love 4.10's

i have a stock auto v6, my driveway leads onto a major road and i see all these loud ricers or golf's/jetta's with ridiculously large wings driving by. make a left onto the road and 200 metres down there is an intersection. at this red light ive taken civics, v6 accords, 3 series bmw's (theyre good off the line too) and gti's. off the i line i destroyed em and i kept pulling away till the next light.. which is maybe abt 700 metres further. the bmw 335i runs the same..maybe 2 feet ahead, i figure in a longer run they'd pull away though. rest of em, just loud with their canadian tire "performance" exhausts and nothin else.

and with 4.10's i have no doubt my dude smoked that gti

nice way to shut his mouth. WTG.

if your co-worker had the thought, he could mod that turbo fairly easily and make that GTI into a sleeper. or he can just get a Stang.

I doubt you could take a BMW 335i, just my opinion

install was 260 i think for everything. dallas mustang did it pretty cheap and fast since i brought em doughnuts

the motive one's. it's the only ones AM sells for the 7.5

i wouldn't doubt it. the 3 series are slow. they come with an N/A inline 6 i believe? i learned to drive a stick on one of the older ones but the new ones are no better.

no he's thought it through. a guy that used to work with us had the same year gti and modded his turbo. ate up 3 transmissions and a few axles before he sold it and bought one of the newer ones. they're just not meant to handle that kind of power.

yep

once again, the guy who drives a 4.0 knows how it performs

and to the pessimists..off the line u can take em with a 4.0, i said he could have possibly pulled on me once we hit higher speeds of 60-80 but before that..

dont underestimate the v6.

sounds familiar i got to an automotive school in lima ohio and there is bunch of those runnin around that think there mr.bad a$$ and my 65 with a 289 walks on them all day.....nice job on the win.

my bro had a 02 v6 it wasnt bad at all. better than the avrage car anyway.
