Default Not a kill, Porsche Cayman GTS wouldn't go

Not a kill really, but yesterday, I was driving the Mustang around to burn up the rest of the 89 octane so I could put some Sunoco 93 in it to go home and install my C&L intake and tune. This moron comes right up behind me in a Cayman, and rides my ass- which I hate, for about a mile or so. The one lane goes to two, and he gets over on the left to make a left turn, so I immediately follow. He makes a pretty quick left turn, with me right behind him. I'd fall back a little, downshift, and hammer it til I was on his ass. After doing this three times, he turned his left signal on, and turns onto a park access road that goes about 100 ft. before you come to a big closed gate. I watched in my mirror til he was out of sight, and he just sat there. Had he got out and walked towards the gate, I would have thought he had an actual reason to turn there.

It was a Cayman GTS. I didn't know a thing about them until I got home and loooked it up. He was smart.

What mods do you have and what does the Cayman run? I don't know anything about them... I just saw online that the GT has like 385 hp... is that the same thing or is the GTs different?

The pic looked a little ricey to me.

According to a couple different sites online, the Cayenne GTS has a base price of $69,300. It weighs in at a hefty 5,000 pounds, and is powered by a 4.8 liter V8 with 405 HP @ 6,500 RPM. 0-62 MPH in 6.5 seconds.

I didnt know anything about them. In fact, I figured he'd stomp all over me before I found out it was turbocharged or something. They do offer a turbo, but even those numbers arent all that breath-taking.

I do not normally engage in that kind of activity, and have turned down a few opportunities to run on the street, but the way he came right up on me, and stayed there like he had something to prove, I figured he'd go.

As for mods, mine is all stock. The C&L intake and tune is in place now, but this was literally an hour before they were installed.

I got you. You said Cayman at first and I didnt know what that was. The Cayenne's are nice SUV's but I wouldn't pay that much for one.

My bad...Cayman is a car, Cyenne is the SUV. It was the Cayenne SUV.

Yea, I hate to be tailgated too. I also hate it when all the Mercedes, volvos, Beemers, etc., think you should yield for them because of what they drive. I'da handed him and his $70K SUV an ass whoopin'.

Yup, tailgaiting just wrong no matter what you drive. It would've been no contest if you ran him.

the cayman is a hybrid of a Boxter and a 911 IMO..... id rather have a 911, but im quite content with my GT, there are alot of downfalls of having Porsche Ownership, the parts are outrageous, i used to own a 87 944, and the parts are a joke..... after shipping and handling i paid about $43 for a radiator hose, so happy i got a mustang afterwards, and the only other car id consider having is a Trans Am or another Mustang, although the new Challengers are nice, but im gonna stay with american cars,,,,, never own another german car and sure as hell not going to buy a Japanese car unless they throw in an extra $20,000 cash back in which case id buy another mustang

Love to mess with tailgaters, I just down-shift so no brake lights and see their eyes open wide.
