The S7 Man!! That is Saleens super car that is insanly fast. The S7 has 550 hp and 560 torque, as opposed to the SVT Cobra That has 320 hp and 317 torque. 0-60 is 4.8 sec in the Mustang and in the S7 it is 3.3 sec. the only car that ford makes that could even contend with the S7 would have to be the FORD GT. Also, the S7 only weighs 2750 lbs. The 2004 S7 has 575 hp and 570 Torque and does the 0-60 in an insane 2.9 sec. Quarter Mile: 10.8 sec @ 131 mph
so make a long short the S7 is A LOT Faster. Also, the S7 is not a mustang, i though the same thing too when i first heard about it.

the Saleen S7 is a supercar (as Tomcat101 has pointed out above) not a Mustang.

Still depends on who is doin' the drivin' and under what conditions.

Drag strip drivin' is not the same as Grand Prix.....too much horsepower & pure speed can be deadly in Grand Prix racing.

Ya, but he never specified on what corse. So let look at it with the same driver, same corses, just comparing their time. the S7 would most likly come out on top.

You know there were no regular Cobras made in 2000. Only 300 Cobra R's.

Yeah, like on any course. Man an Enzo can't even take a new S7.

As for if a Saleen Mustang is faster than a Cobra Mustang, for every year there has been a 'real' Cobra Mustang ('93 and up), there has been a Saleen model that will outpreform it on every level. Thats even excluding the almighty Saleen SR Mustangs, which were so far out on the edge of a Mustangs preformance spectrum that it damn near commands super car status.

It's the old 'you get what you pay for' adage. Do you think a guy building a $80k Mustang is going to make it slower than a $30k Mustang? Do you think a $30k Mustang would even have a prayer against a $168K Mustang?

unfortunitly i really don't like the way the SR looks. the body kit is a little much for me. but i would still take one if someone offered it to me. personally i like the S281-E a little mre then the SR. mainly because it looks meaner in my eyes, even thought the SR is a whole lot faster.

Me too. Thats what happens when the wind tunnel dictates the design more than the end look. But then again, he says just before getting flamed off the planet, I never have cared to much for the look of any of the 4th gen Mustangs. Give me the one of the nine '93 SA-10 Saleens as the best looking Saleen ever built, well that and my '85 Saleen of course

I KNOW!!!! I love the SA-10. in that Black with yellow combination is one of my favorte looking mustangs. i would like it to have a 3inch cowl too, just because i like the way they looks. also through a S/C on it and be done! Now if i could only find one under 10k.....
