It's early in the morning and I'm on my way too work, it takes me about 2 miles to get to the freeway, but it's a straight stretch of road, and what do you know up pulls up a HOT ROD, SPECIAL EDITION V6 w/ Dual Exhaust, next to me at the light, I'm in my 04 F-150 with the 4.6 and the ladder rack and a whole bunch of stuff in the bed, but I figure I'd let em have it, so the light turns green and I jump on him, I've got him by a truck length, this guy must have been on the juice, because after I shift out of second he's on me by a car length, I've got it floored any he got me by two car lengths, and just to mess with him I asked, is that thing supercharged, he and goes it got a little something under the hood. I refrained from laughing and gave him the thumbs up.

He should be proud, beating a 5000 plus pound vehicle with like 215 hp... I know I enjoy messing with people in my '04 E250 service van (ladder racks and all). If you can be beaten by my work truck, you should really feel bad about yourself - these things are slower than a dead squirrel on a hot day.

But then, we v6ers HAVE to know how to build cars.
Anyone can make a 350 Ratmotor, or (now) a 4.6L , or 5.0L go fast.
No one knew how to do it with a 302 or a 351M two barrel, back then.
Making the 3.8L fast is another challenge. Y'all just can't imagine any more than what people tell you.

Wasn't going there at all... just saying my truck is painfully slow, and anyone that can lose to it, shouldn't be racing anything faster than a moutain bike. You'll never catch me saying V8s are the end all, I'm an import guy, and proud to have built a DSM (pump gas, daily driver, with studded snows) for under $3000 that can kill my nearly stock '04 GT.

hey man, quit raggin on the little guys. it seems to me like you hate everycar out there, except yours. LET IT GO, i see it this way, V6's are in a way better than our 5.0s. 1, good gas milage, 2, much lighter so if you trick it out w/ FI and lighten it even more, it could hang with, or even beat our cars. This guy just cant admit that his car isnt the best thing out there. I even PMed this joker saying I was sorry for bashing him in some other threads, still no response and then this comes up again. jeez whats up kid? what have you got against cars that arent yours?
