Default Close call w/ an Escalade EXT

Had my first challenge tonight. Was coming home from dinner with the family in the car and I pulled up next to a new Escalade EXT. We both started off pretty briskly, almost like we were waiting to see if the other really wanted to go. So he gets on it and and takes about a half a car length on me. So I hit it and now we're bith rippin it. I catch up and I think I got him by a nose before we both let off. I wish I had the presence to look at the gauges but this all happened so fast. I don't know how much he or I had left.

Now, Me at 300 HP and him at 345, large vehicle weight differences, me an inexperienced racer (never had a car worthy of racing before), I don't know how this should have turned out. But I do know that his truck seemed to have some serious ba**s. Of course, my car was no slouch either.

Anyone care to share their views?

both are cool cars, i think id rather sport your car now especially since those blue mustangs are sweet. im pretty sure if you would have got on it from the start you would have pulled him more. did you have four people in the car because that really weighs down the car and you can totally feel the difference.
off topic i think they should make a highland green 05 mustang GT

NICE KILL!
When two cars are rolling it takes your advantage away. From dead start not a chance. You would launch off the line, even weighted down.
Nice Kill.

On a side note the reason I bought the Bullitt was because of Dark Hunter Green. (Plus it is a mustang)

Each hundred pounds added to vehicle weight, adds a tenth to your quarter mile
time. So you'll definitly fry him every time. All the driving I do, I've still never
had an suv try to run me balls out in the '92.
Great kill.

I must agree. My Bullitt is highland green and when it is waxed everyone thinks it is black. Although the sonic blue is nice to.

BTW, nice racing for a beginner
